We are seeking a enthusiastic and reliable individual to join our team as a Medical Receptionist.

We have availability to cover the following shifts:

Monday: 13.00 18.30

Wednesday: 07.30 13.00

Thursday: 07.30 13.00

Friday: 07.30 13.00, 13.00-18.30

  • Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in an administrative role is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided for the right candidate

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities:

  • Front Desk:
    • Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and friendly manner.
    • Manage the check-in and check-out process efficiently.
    • Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable.
  • Telephone Management:
    • Answer and direct phone calls promptly and efficiently.
    • Address enquiries and provide accurate information.
    • Schedule and confirm appointments.
  • Customer Service:
    • Address patient concerns and escalate issues as necessary.
    • Provide compassionate support to patients and their families.
    • Ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times.

  • Communication Skills:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
  • Professionalism:
    • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanour.
    • Handle stressful situations with calm and composure.
  • Compassion:
    • Demonstrate empathy and understanding towards patients.
    • Provide supportive and compassionate care.
  • Organisational Skills:
    • Strong multitasking and time management abilities.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in using office software (e.g., MS Office, appointment scheduling systems).
    • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems is a plus.
  • Experience:
  • Previous experience in a reception or customer service role is preferred.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting is an advantage.
