Job summary
We are looking for a healthcare assistant to join our friendly and supportive nursing team on a fixed-term basis, but with the potential for permanent part-time hours once our current HCAs return from mat leave. We are recruiting to fill 37.5 hours a week, but this could be covered by two part-time people.
Main duties of the job
Ideally we are looking for a candidate who already has skills in venepuncture, ECGs, wound care and vaccine administration, but will consider applications from candidates who have some but not all of these skills

- Has completed the Care Certificate or equivalent qualification or working towards
- There may need to be proof of any courses or training qualifications commensurate with the post
Experience

- Experience of working in a healthcare setting
- Understanding of infection prevention and control measures
- Ability to undertake vaccinations
- Understanding of the principles of ECGs
- Able to perform venepuncture
- Ability to undertake patient medicals, including height, weight, BP, pulse and BMI etc.
Desirable
- Has worked in a primary care environment
- Chaperone Training
