Clinical Administration Team Lead 1

Job summary

Under the direction on the Operations Support Manager, the Clinical Administration Team Lead 1 will lead and coordinate the efficient and effective service delivery and achievement of practice objectives for the Clinical Administration Team 1. The Team Leader will create a positive, patient-centred team culture and whilst leading by example, will promote best practices, and contribute to continuous service improvement across practice operations.

Please note, this role is for 28 hours a week over 4 days (day off on either Tuesday or Wednesday).

Main duties of the job

Responsibilities include:

  • Team Leadership - Lead a patient-focused administrative team by modelling strong communication, empathy, and professionalism. This will include fostering team cohesion, preventing isolation or division and motivating team members to collaborate effectively within the department and across the wider practice.
  • Operational and Tasks Responsibility - Translate priorities from NHS England, PCSE, CSU, ICBs and Partners into actionable tasks, protocols, and objectives for the admin team. Collaborate with the Senior Operations Manager to ensure necessary resources and systems are in place.
  • Auditing, Reporting and Recalls -Oversee the follow tasks, working in collaboration with the senior data administrator -
  • Monitor Enhanced Services and ensure accurate submissions and performance tracking.
  • Submit monthly/quarterly/annual searches and returns, manage extractions, and ensure financial data aligns with service claims.
  • IT and Technical Support -Responsible for the IT administrator, working collaboratively with the Operations Support Manager to manage the IT needs of the practice.

The Practice serves approximately 31,000 patients from our 4 surgeries in Earley, Lower Earley, Winnersh and Wilderness Road.

Desirable

  • Post-graduate degree or comparable experience may include Advanced Microsoft Excel certification.
