Main duties of the job
The
Practice Nurse will perform tasks prescribed and delegated by the GP Partners,
working unsupervised to PGDs, agreed protocols and within defined competencies.
The
Practice Nurse will assess patients and plan, implements and review treatment
programs. The Practice Nurse will have shared responsibility for training and
supervision of new members of the nursing team and colleagues.

approximately 31,000 patients from our 4 surgeries in Earley, Lower Earley,
Winnersh and Wilderness Road.

have a strong emphasis on proactive teamwork.
The successful candidate will work as part of the clinical
team and be responsible for consulting with patients in respect of their continuing
medical and nursing needs.
Treatment room skills, to include:
Phlebotomy
ECGs
Removal of sutures/clips
Wound care/dressings
Contraception
Cervical cytology
Child and adult injections
Hypertension management
Keep up to date
with current guidelines and attend training updates as agreed with the
practice.
