Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an IT Administrator/Administrator Assistant to join our dynamic and forward-thinking team at Brookside Group Practice.

Admin

The IT Administrator/Administrator Assistant will be part of the Administration team processing various reports and FP34s, handling confidential information, assisting the Admin Manager with audits and working on CSMS for cytology.

IT

The IT Administrator/Administrator Assistant is responsible for the day to day running and maintenance of the BGP Information Technology (IT) system. This includes all computer hardware, software, peripherals, cabling infrastructure, phones and other communication devices and systems.

The IT Administrator/Administrator Assistant will communicate appropriate technical issues to other BGP employees (Clinicians, staff & managers) as well as external parties such as contractors.

Main duties of the job

In this role, you will take on administrative tasks. You will be expected to use your initiative to make decisions and deal with patients and staff.

The post holder will need to diagnose faults speedily, solving in house if possible, communicate technical complex issues to non-technical employees, help with daily, weekly and monthly Admin tasks and utilise key skills such as excellent communication skills and time management.

This role requires a person who is innovative, flexible, committed and who can work independently and resourcefully as part of the team, to ensure tasks are completed accurately within a timely manner.

Always maintain confidentiality (regarding both patients and staff)

Special Working Conditions

The post-holder is required to hold a full UK driving license and have daily use of a car as the post-holder will need to travel between practice sites (where applicable), and to attend meetings etc. hosted by other agencies.

The Practice serves approximately 31,000 patients from our 4 surgeries in Earley, Lower Earley, Winnersh and Wilderness Road.
