The GP Suite is delighted to invite applications for a Salaried GP for up to 8 sessions per week, with a view to partnership after 6 months. This role would suit either an experienced GP seeking a fresh challenge or a newly qualified GP looking to thrive in a supportive environment and develop management skills. Main duties of the job

The post holder will be expected to undertake the full range of duties and responsibilities normally associated with a General Practitioner working in primary care; manage a patient caseload and address a broad range of health needs within a primary care setting, ensuring excellent standards of care for both registered and temporary patients.

Clinical duties will include allocated on-call sessions, face-to-face and telephone consultations, responding to clinical queries, undertaking home visits when required and managing acute and repeat prescriptions. The role also includes completing associated paperwork and correspondence in a timely and effective manner.

The GP Suite is a well-established and welcoming practice in Jarrow, providing care to approximately 4,500 patients. Our clinical team consists of two GP Partners, one Advanced Clinical Practitioner, two Practice Nurses and one Nurse Associate, all supported by an experienced and dedicated team across administration, reception, and management.

We are committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care and fostering a supportive, collaborative working environment for our staff.

As part of the local Primary Care Network, our wider multidisciplinary team also includes a Social Prescriber, Pharmacist, First-Contact Physiotherapists, and First-Contact Podiatrists, enabling us to provide a broad range of accessible services.

  • Qualified GP with MBBS (or equivalent) and postgraduate GP training (MRCGP / CCT / VTC).
  • Full GMC Registration with licence to practice.
