Managing
a GP Practice is an interesting, sometimes challenging, always varied, and
hugely rewarding role. To do this well a Practice Manager needs:
A strong, supportive, and engaged Partnership who are happy to
empower their manager to manage the business whilst being available, quick,
decisive, and clear in their role as business owners.
A stable, loyal, happy and committed Leadership Team and workforce who
are clear of the role they play and the importance they have, individually and
as teams, on the successful running of the surgery.
The new Practice Manager at Rowcroft Medical
Centre can be assured of having both.In a surgery where the health
and wellbeing of our team is paramount the Practice Manager is a supported,
respected and hugely satisfying role.
It
is our intention to hold interviews for this position on Tuesday April
23rd. Interviews will take place at the surgery and candidates should
expect to be with us for a whole morning or afternoon (including lunch).
We anticipate a start date for the successful candidate between Monday July
29th and Monday August 5th.
Main duties of the job
Working with the Partners and, with the support of the PM's Leadership Team, manage both the strategic and operational requirements of the practice.
Ensure the surgery is able to provide safe care to our patients, a friendly and healthy working environment for our team whilst at the same time achieving our targets, within budget and compliant with the needs of CQC and contractual deliverables.
About us
We are atraining practice based in the centre of Stroud in Gloucestershire. We have 4 GP Partners and 4 salaried GPs, a strong nursing team and a wonderful team of receptionists and administrators who care for our 12000+ patients who live in a mix of urban and rural locations.
We are a member of Stroud Cotswold Primary Care Network which is a close, collaborative and successful PCN. As a surgery we benefit from Social Prescribers, Clinical Pharmacists, Care Coordinators and GP Assistants via the ARRS scheme, all who make a great contribution to the work we do.Our PM works closely with those within our PCN and has a direct link into the priorities and success of the Network.
We are looking for someone who has experience of Practice Management in an NHS GP surgery, is passionate about the work we do, the health and wellbeing of our staff and patients, and a genuine interest and excitement in the future role of GP Surgeries within Primary Care and the wider NHS.
