About us
Our
practice has proudly served the people of Fishponds and the surrounding areas
for over 100 years. Founded by Dr Claude Bernard in a Victorian house at 564
Fishponds Road, the practice was later taken over by his son Cyril, who guided
it through the war years and the establishment of the NHS in 1948.
Today, we
are a stable and well-established practice with a dedicated and experienced
team. Our team includes 5 partners, 5 salaried doctors, practice nurses, health
care assistants, urgent care practitioners, and a pharmacy team, all supported
by a large team of care coordinators and a supportive management team.
We embrace
innovation and technology to improve processes, enhance efficiency, and manage
workloads effectively. Regular clinical meetings foster collaboration,
supported by a friendly and approachable team culture.
We are
proud to be a training practice, teaching medical students from Year 1 to 5,
which contributes to a vibrant and positive atmosphere in the surgery. As part
of a successful Primary Care Network (PCN), we enjoy the benefits of
collaborative working, sharing ideas, and continuous improvement.
With strong
administrative processes and a consistent record as a high QOF achiever, we are
committed to delivering the highest standards of care to our patients.
