Clinic Support
We are seeking a dedicated Health
Care Assistant to join our team and provide vital support in ENT clinics. This
role involves working across two locations with a set weekly schedule:
Clinic Schedule:
Monday (The Surgery Sellinge): 9:00 am 2:00 pm
Wednesday (The Surgery Sellinge): 8:30 am 5:30 pm
Thursday (The Surgery Sellinge): 9:00 am 2:00 pm
Friday (Northgate Medical Practice): 8:30 am 5:30 pm
(Morning: usual HCA procedures; Afternoon: ENT clinic support)
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting clinical staff during ENT assessments and procedures
Preparing patients and equipment for clinics
Providing compassionate patient care and support
Ensuring smooth clinic operations

and Throat (ENT) clinics. The successful candidate will assist clinical staff
with patient care, preparation, and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth
running of ENT outpatient services.
Key
Responsibilities:
Assist clinical staff during
ENT consultations and procedures, including preparing and positioning
patients.
Prepare and maintain
clinical environments, ensuring equipment and instruments are clean,
sterilised, and ready for use.
Support patients by
providing comfort and reassurance before, during, and after procedures.
Adhere to infection control
policies and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Essential
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience as a
Healthcare Assistant, preferably in ENT or general practice setting.
Basic knowledge of ENT
anatomy and common procedures is desirable but not essential.
Strong communication and
interpersonal skills, with the ability to work empathetically with
patients of all ages.
Ability to work
independently and as part of a team.
Good organisational skills
and attention to detail.
Flexible and adaptable to
changing clinic needs and schedules.
Basic IT skills for record keeping
and data entry.
