Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Greystone House Surgery for an experienced Healthcare Assistant to join our vibrant team. This is a fixed term position for 1 year to cover maternity leave initially, although this appointment may lead to a permanent contract.
This is a varied clinical role aimed at supporting the wider healthcare team whilst providing exceptional care to our patient population.
Main duties of the job
The key responsibilities of this role are to assist the practice nurses with simple clinical procedures which will include height, weight, urinalysis, lifestyle advice, blood pressure checks, new patient checks, ECGs, removal of sutures, taking blood samples, CPR, chaperoning, supporting with vaccination campaigns, assisting doctors with minor surgery and general patient assistance.
To implement clinical work to ensure effective care delivery in the partnership with clients and families/carers.
To promote and advise on healthy lifestyles and weight management.
To ensure confidentiality on all matters relating to patients and information obtained during the course of employment.
To work with other members of the team to ensure clinical areas meet a satisfactory infection control level and remain adequately stocks with consumables.

Greystone House Surgery is a modern friendly Practice in Redhill representing one of the three sites which make up The House Partnership between Greystone House Surgery, Caterham Valley Medical Practice and The Moat House Surgery.
This role is based at Greystone House Surgery, 99 Station Road, Redhill, RH1 1EB. Cross-site working between the Merstham and Caterham sites may occasionally be required.
