Job summary
We are looking for a 6 - 7 session Newly Qualified GP. Preferably
Tuesday/Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. Evenings are also available but happy
for you to contact us to talk to us about your availability.
We are delighted to offer the opportunity to improve the
employment experiences for a newly qualified General Practitioner, within the
first two years of their GMC speciality registration, by opening a role to join
our warm and patient-centred Primary Care Network. We are looking for a GP to work
with our 3 Network practices, providing additional access during the week and
on Saturdays for routine and long term condition reviews. Clinics are comprised
of usual GP duties including face to face and remote consulting, reviewing
results and correspondence, conducting long term conditions reviews and proactive
care. Appointments out of hours and on a weekend are 15minutes long and there
are no on the day appointments or home visits to be done on Saturdays.

Main duties of the job
The GP will undertake a variety of duties governed by the GMS contract and objectives of Enhanced services, including:
- In person consultations
- Telephone consultations
- Visiting patients routinely in their care homes
- Checking and signing repeat prescriptions
- Dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence
- Clinical administration including processing of results and coordinating referrals for specialist review
- Working alongside and supporting members of the MDT at the practice
Cover all the clinical management of the patients in surgery as appropriate including initiating investigations, reviewing results, making referrals to secondary care or to other providers as appropriate
Play a role in the practice achieving key performance targets and safety metrics.
Participate in clinical audits, and learning event analyses and practice meetings
This post requires the post holder to be able to undertake all statutory and mandatory training and post holders must be able to undertake physical clinics on site at the practices and travel independently between sites and home visits.
