Job summary
Following the release of ARRS funding for GPs, Chorley
Together PCN is looking to recruit a newly qualified, enthusiastic &
forward-thinking GP to join our General Practice teams on an initial fixed term contract
until 31st March 2025. By mutal agreement and subject to future funding an extension to this date may be possible.
Please note:
to be eligible for this role, you must be within two years of
certificate of completion of training at the start date of your employment and have not previously held a substantive post as a General Practitioner
You will be required to work across our practices
supporting each of them through the winter period. We will support you to work
across the different surgeries by providing our Clinical Director as a mentor.
This is a great opportunity to get to know our practices working within Chorley,
Leyland and surrounding villages,
providing the successful candidate with varied experience.

Main duties of the job
We are seeking a salaried GP to support our health care service to
continue to meet our practices' demands
over the winter period. You will be expected to work from several locations
across the PCN with appointments available to patients from across the network.
The post holder will need to be capable of
independent travel across the network and be able to work flexibly to meet the
needs of the business.
You will perform as an autonomous general practitioner
working independently with other health care professionals to assess, diagnose
and treat the conditions of patients attending within a primary care setting. You will provide expert professional advice to patients, carers and colleagues whilst
maintaining clinical excellence. You will be professionally accountable and
responsible for all elements of clinical practice in accordance with the GMC
code of conduct, ensuring the safety of patients and quality of their care is primary.
