Job summary
Our busy, expanding practices are looking for bank receptionists to join our friendly team.
The candidate would preferably have experience in a similar role but training will be provided.
The successful candidate will be polite, compassionate, a team player and adaptable.
You should be willing to work a variety of shifts within our opening times of 7.30am - 7pm.
Main duties of the job
To ensure that the
reception area of the Practice runs smoothly, provides a high level of
service to patients, doctors, nurses and other members of the Practice team.
You will need to be a good communicator, fluent in English, written and spoken, with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; especially under pressure. You will have a range of patient facing and administrative tasks, excellent organisational skills and time management are critical. A caring, empathetic character is essential.

7. Receiving registration
documents from new patients
8. Greet and direct patients
and visitors
9. Making appointments
10. Handing out prescriptions
11. Ensure outstanding queries
are explained and handed over to next shift, as necessary
12. Respond to needs of doctors
and nurses during surgery
13. Collect payments from
patients for non-NHS services
14. Deal with general enquiries
and complaints
