We are seeking experienced and motivated general practice nurses to join our bank staff at GP Care Wakefield. If youve been a practice nurse for over 2 years, have experience using SystmOne and Ardens templates and are looking for some extra hours wed love to hear from you!
Do you want flexible working? If so we offer a range of shift lengths, across weekdays evenings and weekends. Shifts can be booked up to two months in advance via Lantum, our online user-friendly rota system. There is no minimum commitment simply choose the shifts that work best for you at any or all of our sites:
- Trinity Medical Centre, WF1 1PG
- Northgate Medical Centre, WF8 1NF
- Kings Medical Centre, WF6 2AZ
- Ossett Surgery, WF5 8DF
- Elizabeth Court Surgery, WF10 3TG
- Church View Health Centre, WF9 3AP
Main duties of the job
As a practice nurse for GP Care Wakefield you will play an important role in providing care to our patients.
Our general clinics include:
- Phlebotomy
- B12 injections
- Repeat Contraception and Administration of Depo Provera
- Blood pressure checks
- ECGs
- Suture / clip removal
- Wound care
We also have a range of specialist clinics too:
- Cervical smears
- Vaccinations
- Spirometry
- Asthma & COPD
- Diabetes
- Workplace Health Checks
Practice nurses joining the bank will need to be able to work at least one specialist clinic.
About us
Conexus Healthcare is the GP confederation for all practices in the Wakefield District.
GP Care Wakefield offers Enhanced Access to general practice on evenings & weekends for the Wakefield & District population.
In addition to appointments with GPs and ANPs the service offers routine clinics with a Practice Nurse/HCA that can be booked in advance by the patients practice.

- Qualified in the management of at least one of the below:
