Main duties of the job

The Management GP will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of GP Pathfinder Clinics. This individual will be responsible for providing clinical leadership, delivering high-quality care to patients, managing the practice team, and contributing to the overall success of our clinics. Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Leadership:

  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to the practice team, ensuring adherence to best practices and protocols.

  • Act as a clinical role model, demonstrating exceptional clinical care and patient management skills.

  • Participate in clinical governance activities, including audits, incident reporting, and risk assessments.

  • Patient Care

  • Deliver efficient and safe patient care via several means: face to face, video, telephone etc.

  • Patient Home visits and Nursing Home visits

  • Checking and signing repeat prescriptions

  • Administration - dealing with queries, patient test results, referral letters NHS/private, task, emails and other paperwork and correspondence in a timely manner

  • Practice Management:

  • Assist with the day-to-day clinical operations of the practice, including patient appointments, staffing, and resource allocation.

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.

  • Auditing and Compliance:

  • Shape the practice's auditing and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.

  • Conduct regular audits of clinical records, processes, and systems.

  • Implement corrective actions to address any identified deficiencies.

  • Quality Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical practice and implement strategies to enhance quality.

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits to ensure continuous improvement.

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of clinical services and processes.

  • Staff Development:

  • Recruit, train, and develop the practice team to meet the clinic's needs.
