Job summary

Upton Surgery is a friendly, forward thinking General Practice with onsite NHS Community staff and Social Care staff. We have a holistic, integrated care approach for our 12,200 patients. We are a training practice with 5 GP partners. Located just 10 minutes from junction 1 of the M50, 15 minutes from Worcester and Malvern. 10 minutes from Tewkesbury and 30 minutes from Cheltenham.

We are seeking to employ a motivated Receptionist / Care Navigator with exceptional customer focus to support our developing triage and care navigation roles as part of our busy Reception Team.

Main duties of the job

As a receptionist you will be expected to provide a consistent point of contact for both patients and staff, with the aim of enabling patients to get the right coordinated support, at the right time to help manage a wide range of needs. This will include working alongside our GPs assisting them in triaging patients, providing active signposting to a range of statutory and voluntary sector services which are often complex and difficult to navigate.

About us

The successful candidate will utilise their well-developed communication skills to provide excellent customer service for our patients and to support the staff in a Primary Care setting. IT skills are required for daily use of clinical systems (Emis Web / Docman / Accurx / Abtrace / Microsoft & X-on).

Permanent post This position is offered without a set designation of part-time or full-time.
