An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Paramedic Practitioner position within Peterborough's largest GP surgery.
Boroughbury Medical Centre has a dynamic, motivated and friendly team
with a passion for education and development. We are a registered training
practice and are actively involved in research. BMC is housed in modern,
purpose-built premises, caring for a diverse patient population of over 45,000
patients across four sites across the City of Peterborough. We have a very experienced and highly skilled
clinical team of 20 Doctors, 6 ACPs, 18 Nurses, 7 Paramedics, 5 Clinical
Pharmacists and 8 HCAs.
Main duties of the job
Now is a really exciting time to join General Practice as a Paramedic Practitioner. The role has grown and developed and many of our existing practitioners now hold Masters degrees as Advanced Practitioners.
We are seeking a Paramedic to join our team of Paramedic Practitioners
who provide on-the-day appointments to patients presenting with minor illness,
triage of those patients requesting home visits and undertaking suitable home
visits within the community (including Nursing and Residential homes). The
successful candidate will ideally hold a degree/diploma in Paramedicine (or
equivalent experience) and have three years experience at Band 6 (or
equivalent) as a paramedic. Experience of working in a primary care setting
would be advantageous, however opportunities for career progression and
training and development will be made available to the successful candidate.
