Job summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our well-established team as a Reception Deputy Team Lead. In this role, you will work closely with the Reception Team Lead to support the day-to-day management of the reception team. You will play an integral role in delivering high-quality, compassionate care to our patients by ensuring their needs are met promptly and with empathy.
Based at our GP surgery, you will often be the first point of contact for patients, creating a welcoming and supportive environment for everyone who visits the practice.
This role is 25 hours a week, working over 3 days.
Monday 10am-6.30pm
Thursday 9am - 5.30pm
Friday 10am-6.30pm
Main duties of the job
Supporting the Reception Team Lead in the day-to-day management of the reception team, whilst working alongside the team to ensure good service is provided to our patieints.

- Experience of working in a receptionist type role within a GP Surgery or similar healthcare setting.
- Be able to work as part of a team, to promote good team spirit.
- Be motivated and able to work independently
- Good knowledge of admin systems, software programmes.
- GCSE passes at grade C or above or equivalent experience
- Good IT skills
- Demonstrate a high level of communication skills in dealing effectively with patients, carers and other staff members.
- The post holder will demonstrate good numeracy and literacy skills.
- To understand the requirements of maintaining confidentiality.
- To demonstrate a high level of accuracy, presentation of information and attention to detail.
- To employ a flexible approach to working with the ability to prioritise and organise own time management.
- Applicant must have the right to work in the UK

- Experience of leading a team is desirable but not essential for this role as training will be provided.
