Job summary

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate General Practitioner to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave, starting at the end of September 2025. The position is ideally suited to someone looking for 6 clinical sessions per week, though there is flexibility for the right candidate.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative, well-supported environment with a focus on delivering excellent care to our local community.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide high-quality, patient-centred care through a mix of face-to-face, telephone, and online consultations

  • Manage both acute presentations and long-term conditions

  • Participate in the practice triage systemon a rota basis

  • Support QOF, local IIF targets, and other clinical improvement initiatives

  • Work closely with the wider clinical team and PCN colleagues to ensure continuity of care

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

  • Debrief Trainees
