Job summary

Firth Park Surgery are looking for a Part Time, Admin Assistant to join our existing friendly Admin team -

We are ideally looking for someone for 20 hours, over 4 days, Training will be given for the right applicant although Experience of Excel and word is preferred.

Main duties of the job

Main Duties include

1. Actioning E mails

2. Opening and sorting post from Hospitals, Health Authority, Primary Care Trust and other external post.

3. Scanning and coding Documents

4. Photocopying patient records for solicitors when requested and other copying as needed.

5. Sorting and collating new patient records when received at the practice and assembling new patient packs.

6. Recording patients leaving the practice and information sent to the Health Authority.

7. Ordering supplies and stationery as required

8. Any other duties as required to assist administration within the practice.

9.Photo copying and laminating posters to put up round the surgery.

Qualifications

Essential

  • GCSE grade A to C in English & Maths
  • Excellent typing skills
  • Good Communication Skills
  • Works well under pressure

Desirable

  • Experience of working in a Health Care Setting
  • Knowledge of the EMIS Sysytem
  • Experience of working with Excel
  • Knowledge of Word
