We are currently seeking a full-time Lead Practice Nurse to play a key role in the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care within our friendly and forward-thinking practice.

Main duties of the job
The Practice Nurse Manager will be the lead nurse within the organisation with the following tasks:
- to develop, implement and manage evidence based nursing targeted to the needs of the practice population
- to provide clinical leadership, support and motivation to the nursing team
- to ensure maintenance and testing of equipment and advise on new purchases
- to deal with Human Resources matters for the nursing team, including appraisal, performance reviews, annual leave, recruitment, induction, disciplinary matters and training needs of staff within the nursing team.
- to supervise, mentor and support the professional development of staff within the nursing team.
- to participate in clinical supervision
- to develop and implement nursing policies and procedures
- to ensure compliance with CQC standards and other regulatory requirements
- to participate in audits and quality improvement projects
- to ensure clinical members of team are appropriately registered and revalidated
- to manage staff rotas ensuring appropriate levels of staffing to meet demand
- to ensure efficient and effective use of resources and budgetary control
- to chair the monthly Nurses Meeting
- to attend weekly Management Team Meetings
- to attend appropriate nursing forums
