Kingswood
Health Centre are seeking to employ a new, part-time Practice Administrator. The
role is for 27.5 hours per week with a working pattern to be agreed.
We are a team-orientated practice with c.13,000 registered patients. Operated by 7 GP Partners and a Managing Partner, we also have 3 salaried GPs. We are a multi-disciplinary team, with 1 paramedic, 2 advanced nurse practitioners, a physiotherapist, 2 clinical pharmacists and a pharmacy technician. We also have a well established nursing team & a fantastic team of non-clinical staff (admin, secretarial, reception and management).
Main duties of the job
The Practice Administrator's role is to provide a high standard of administrative support to the Health Centre, its staff and patients, in line with practice policies and protocols.

About us
Kingswood Health Centre operates in a semi-urban environment with a varied demographic of patients. We also support a number of nursing & residential homes. We support staff development & encourage our team through regular appraisal & training.
The health centre is situated close to the A4174 ring road & not far from local cycle routes. Our purpose-built premises were completed in 2011 to a high specification. We are able to offer secure bicycle storage, free staff car parking & shower facilities.
We are a very sociable practice, regularly arranging staff events & team challenges to support our nominated charity. We have regular meetings, & also close quarterly for all-staff training afternoons.

Acting as a point of contact for
staff and patients with regards to administrative queries
New patient registrations, registration
queries and deductions, including providing access to online services
Logging new patients Lloyd George records
into the practice and filing away
Scanning information onto
patients medical records
Copying of medical records (including
responding to subject access requests or requests for information under the
Access to Medical Records Act)
Updating patient medical records
with change of address and any applicable information
Coordinating requests for
information/letters/medical reports, completing information where possible on
behalf of the practice
Raising invoices for private
reports and debt chasing for outstanding payments
Summarising of patient notes
Completing the PPA claims process
OR producing quarterly reports for opiate substitution therapy prescribing and
bowel cancer screening/coding
