Job summary
We are seeking
a Salaried GP to join our well-established practice on a part-time basis (4
sessions per week, with flexibility on days).
You will work autonomously
while being supported by our welcoming multidisciplinary team. We are also happy
to help you develop your career in your area of interest.
Typically,
youll be working to 15 minute appointments. You would participate in the
practice on call and extended hours rota this is shared across all the GPs at
the surgery.
Leave: 6 weeks leave plus 1 week study leave (all pro rated)
Main duties of the job
The following are the core responsibilities of the General Practitioner:
- Provide a full range of medical services as defined in the core GMS contract, additional and enhanced services where appropriate.
- Perform clinical examinations of patients to assess, diagnose and monitor conditions
- Carry out patient consultations at home and within the surgery
- Develop care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line with current practice; disease management protocols, provide counselling and health education.
- Liaise with other healthcare professionals as part of multidisciplinary teams
- Work in close collaboration with the practice team to ensure access targets are reached
- Attend clinical and team meetings as necessary.
There may be
on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be depending
upon factors such as workload and staffing levels

Courtside
Surgery is situated in the town of Yate with free staff parking and amenities on
our doorstep.
We serve the
community of Yate and surrounding areas. We care for approximately 15,500
patients.
You will be
part of a large multi-disciplinary team. We have 6 partners and 6 salaried GPs
working alongside a large clinical and back office team including urgent care
team, nursing team including mental health and physiotherapists.
We consult
using EMIS Web Clinical system with Ardens clinical decision support tool.
As a GP
training practice we are committed to supporting the development of future
doctors, as well as the ongoing professional growth of our team.
Many of our
clinicians also contribute to research projects, helping to shape the future of
primary care.
At Courtside,
we are proud of the positive relationships we have built - whether with our
Patient Participation Group, our Primary Care Network colleagues, or most
importantly with our patients.
We aim to
create a supportive and enjoyable place to work, where everyones skills and
interests are valued and encouraged. GPs have a mid morning coffee break to
meet up and we also meet at lunchtime and have regular lunchtime
education/clinical meetings.
