Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and flexible individual looking for a challenge to support the new Horwich Health & Wellbeing Hub which is opening up in August. You should have the ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the position. The post holder will ensure a safe and secure environment for patients and staff visiting or working within the Hub, and will co-ordinate the day to day occupancy of shared areas of the Hub.

Main duties of the job

To work closely with the Horwich Health & Wellbeing Hub Practice Managers, dealing with day to day building issues and co-ordinating with external contractors. To ensure the Health & Safety Regulations for inspection/testing are up to date. Welcoming visitors and patients to the Hub. To accept and arrange distribution of post and deliveries throughout the building.

Job description

Job responsibilities

To receive any reports of building issues and resolve, working closely with the Horwich Health & Wellbeing Hub Practice Managers.

To ensure that the Hub meets all Health & Safety Regulations and requirements ensuring that all required inspection/testing are recorded and up-to-date. This would include, but not limited to, Fire Safety & Security and Legionella testing.

To undertake the role of Fire Warden for the building (following appropriate training).

To co-ordinate with external contractors to ensure agreed contracts are met. This would include internal cleaning, window cleaning, domestic waste, clinical waste and hygiene services.

To ensure internal building maintenance and repair is appropriately planned to meet the requirement of the building lease.

To manage the buildings asset register ensuring appropriately timed and recorded servicing and calibration of equipment.

To identify and relay suggestions to conserve energy or prevent waste of resources related to the building environment.

To welcome visitors to the building providing appropriate induction in line with the building induction handbook.

To provide and monitor the appropriate distribution of ID badges and lanyards for staff and visitors to the building.

To accept and arrange appropriate distribution of post and deliveries throughout the building.

To manage building keys including locker and changing places keys.

To co-ordinate the day to day occupancy of shared spaces within the Hub. This would include ensuring that all occupants comply with the terms of their licence or sessional booking and management of loaned equipment.

  • 5 GCSEs with Maths and English
