We are seeking a reliable, professional, and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our friendly team in a busy primary care setting.
Main duties of the job
As a Phlebotomist in a primary care setting, your main duties will include performing venepuncture to collect blood samples from patients as requested by clinicians, ensuring specimens are accurately labelled and sent to the appropriate laboratory in a timely manner. You will work closely with the clinical team, maintain accurate patient records on the practice system, and uphold high standards of infection control and patient confidentiality. Providing reassurance and professional care to patients, managing stock levels of phlebotomy supplies, and escalating any clinical concerns are also key responsibilities. You may be asked to support quality improvement activities and attend regular training to maintain clinical competencies.
