Job summary

Millennium Medical Centre is a thriving training practice with a list size of 9,800 patients. The team comprises of 2 partners, 8 salaried GPs, and experienced, efficient nursing & admin teams. We are looking for an ANP with experience of working in general practice, or an NHS Walk-In Centre. The post is available commencing March 2025. Full time or part time work will be considered. An attractive salary payable to the right candidate.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will provide an on-the-day service for patients with acute and urgent problems, and will see these patients either at the practice or at home as appropriate. The postholder will demonstrate safe clinical decision making in providing care for the presenting patient, to include history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis treatment and evaluation of care. The postholder will work collaboratively with the practice team to meet the needs of patients, ensuring that practice policies and procedures are followed.

  • Registered first level nurse, Msc or equivalent
  • Relevant nursing/health degree
  • Mentor/teaching qualification
  • Clinical Supervision training
  • Independent prescribing qualification
  • Clinical Leadership skills
  • Advanced clinical practice skills
  • Ability to work autonomously in an advanced nursing role

Desirable

  • Knowledge of public health issues
  • Experience of Research and Audit
