Practice Nurse 2-3 Days per Week (Monday, Tuesday & Friday)

We are excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Treatment Room Nurse to join our friendly, forward-thinking team at Hucclecote Surgery. This role combines core treatment room duties with the opportunity to develop or expand your expertise in long-term condition management, particularly in respiratory care.
While experience in managing respiratory conditions such as Asthma, COPD, Bronchiectasis and Spirometry is desirable, it is NOT ESSENTIAL. What matters most to us is finding a motivated, compassionate nurse who shares our team values and is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care. For the right candidate, we will fully support training in respiratory disease management, including relevant professional qualifications.

Main duties of the job

Treatment Room Nursing

Deliver a full range of general nursing services including wound care and compression therapy, cervical cytology, child and adult immunisations, travel clinics, contraception services and other routine treatment room duties.

Support the management of acute patient presentations in collaboration with the wider clinical team.
Long-Term Condition Management
-
Undertake assessments and develop personalised care plans for patients with long-term conditions, particularly Asthma, COPD and other respiratory diseases.

Lead chronic disease reviews, including asthma and COPD management and spirometry.

Provide ongoing monitoring, education and support to ensure patients effectively manage their conditions and adhere to prescribed treatments.
Health Promotion & Preventative Care

Promote healthy lifestyle choices and support patients in making sustainable changes to improve overall health outcomes.

Deliver national immunisation programmes and provide travel health advice in line with current guidelines.
