An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our multi-disciplinary PCN Team due to the changes in the ARRS Scheme, we are looking to expand our team by seeking to employ a qualified Phlebotomist to work alongside our practices and PCN staff.
Our PCN staff currently includes Clinical Pharmacists, Social Prescribers, Health & Wellbeing Coach, Mental Health Practitioner, Paramedics, First Contact Physiotherapist, GPAs, Pharmacist Technicians, PCN Manager/Digital & Transformation Lead and a Care Home Team.
The successful applicants will work alongside the PCN and practice teams to support healthcare professionals, patients, and carers.

Riverside Medical Centre
The Ryan Medical Centre
New Longton Surgery
Other associated PCN sites (for example Care Homes and Home Visits)

Main duties of the job
To provide an efficient service to all patients and the clinical team ensuring that the work allocated to you is regularly prioritised and dealt within deadlines set. Confidentiality and adherence to GDPR should be always maintained.
You will be a member of our Primary Care team carrying out the taking of blood from patients at the practice under clinical supervision of our clinical team, following evidence-based national and local clinical governance principals.

GP practices have been working together in our area for years and formed BridgedalePrimary Care Network (PCN).Bridegale Primary Care Network is made up of GP registered patient lists for Roslea Surgery, Riverside Medical Centre and the Ryan Medical Centre. We serve a community of around 30,000 people. We are small enough to provide the personal care valued by our people and large enough to have impact and economies of scale through better collaboration.
As a Primary Care Network we are working hard to deliver on the national NHS England network contract that commenced in July 2019 and continues to March 2024.
This includes the following areas of focus:
anticipatory care
cardiovascular disease prevention and diagnosis
enhancing health in care homes
early diagnosis of cancer
tackling neighbourhood inequalities
structured medication reviews
social prescribing reviews
So as a primary care network ,with its member practices working ever closer together, it is important to establish shared core values which not only enables us to adapt, but to do so in the way that we all feel is right for our patients and staff. The outstanding contributions from Ryan, Roslea and Riverside surgeries in developing Bridgedales SHINE values is a key milestone and prepares the ground for the future.
