Job summary

Cobham Health Centre is a well-established GP medical practice in Cobham, near to the town centre, with a reputation for excellent patient-centred care.

We are currently looking to recruit a full-time Medical Secretary/Administrator who is an enthusiastic, self-motivated, flexible, well-presented individual.

Main duties of the job

Main duties include:

Typing letters.

Responding to emails.

Responding to tasks from the team.

Answering the telephone.

Answering questions and dealing with queries.

Manage Medical and Insurance Reports.

Complete administration tasks in a timely and accurate manner.

The post is full time, 37.5 hours per week over 5 days- 8.30am - 5pm (1-hour unpaid lunch break).

The successful candidate will:

- Have a friendly and courteous manner.

- Exemplary attendance and time keeping.

- Be capable of working in a busy environment.

- Be a Microsoft Word proficient touch typist - there may be a typing test as part of the recruitment process.

- Understand medical terminology.

- Be familiar with the way the NHS works desirable,

- Have an awareness of different medical specialists and referral pathways - preferable but not essential.

- Have excellent organisational and communication skills.

- Receptive to change and have a can-do approach to work.
