Job summary

GPNET5 is recruiting for a newly qualified GP to work as part of the team at Stovell House Surgery.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to a diverse population, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic healthcare solutions. The successful candidate will actively engage in clinical meetings, audits, and quality improvement initiatives. Eligible applicants must be on NHS Englands medical practitioner list as outlined in section 91 of the NHS Act 2006, hold full registration with the GMC on the General Practitioner Register, and have completed their GP training (Certificate of Completion of Training in General Practice) within the past two years. They should also demonstrate professional integrity with no suspensions or regulatory restrictions employment terms within the PCN framework.

Main duties of the job

You will undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone/video consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion. Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the practice or external organisations. Assessing the health needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems. Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness. More information on request.

More specific to the role you will be responsible of the practices Huddles and fortnightly MDT meetings and will be the Practices Extended Access Service on a Friday evening.

We are offering 4.5 sessions a week, days to be confirmed but will include a Monday and a Friday.

Stovell House Surgery is a 3 partner practice in Addiscombe, Croydon with a 8300 patient list size. We pride ourselves on being a family practice offering a range of telephone and face to face appointments. We do not do total triage. We are a training practice with a home-grown team of GPs who will support you in your first years of being newly qualified.
