Job summary

We are looking for an experienced HCA to enhance our nursing team.

Based in Ilkeston Health Centre (with free parking!) we are a small two Partners and one salaried GP practice, caring for 4100 patients.

Patient care is our key focus and we pride ourselves in being one of the top practices in Derbyshire in terms of both clinical care and patient experience.

Main duties of the job

As a HCA within our team we would like someone with any of the following experience and will be willing to train the right applicant in any areas where not fully competent:-

Phlebotomy

ECG

Diabetic Foot Checks

BP (both 24 hour and normal readings)

Weight & height checks and recordings

Wound care

Suture removal

Assisting with minor surgery procedures

Administering of B12 and flu injections under PSD following clinical protocol

Chaperone

Stock ordering

To deliver and evaluate healthcare needs, whilst working within procedures and protocols in own area of competence.

To work collaboratively under the supervision of the GPs, Nurse Practitioner & Practice Nurse, contributing to the skill mix within the Practice, thus enabling the Practice to diversify in the services provided.
