Job summary

West Walk Surgery are looking for an experienced Healthcare Assistant to join our supportive, friendly team working working 12 hours a week over 2 days, ideally split over a Monday and Friday.

A phlebotomy qualification and experience is essential. If you do not yet have experience in all other aspects of the job description, you must be willing to undertake the necessary training.

Main duties of the job

To support the practice nursing team in the delivery of nursing services, working as part of the practice multidisciplinary team, delivering care within their scope of practice to the entitled patient population. The healthcare assistant will deliver and assist clinical staff in the provision of treatment, preventative care, health promotion and patient education.

West Walk Surgery is set within the West Gate Centre in the middle of Yate shopping centre, caring for 15,000 patients.

Our friendly, forward thinking team team consists of 11 GPs, Paramedics, Clinical Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Mental Health Nurse, Practice Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, Physios, all supported by a large admin team and Practice Management.
