Job summary
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Medical Secretary with great organisational skills to join our secretarial team.
The post is part time - up to 18 hours per week
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will join our team of secretaries and will support the clinical team with the processing of referrals, upkeep of electronic forms and administrative support for the clinical and management teams.
Previous secretarial experience and audio typing skills are required for this role.
About us
The practice provides care for over 23,400 patients and works from 3
branches which are located in Burntwood and Lichfield.
The
team have regular meetings, and the practice has both whole team meetings and whole team learning
events throughout the year to enable team members to meet, share ideas and
develop together.

patients records are maintained to required standards

assist the Operations Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the Practice.

To be responsible for day to day processing of patient
referrals using paper and electronic systems.

To maintain template letters and forms used internally
by clinical and administrative staff.

To provide secretarial support for meetings as
required by the Business Manager.

Maintain a sensitive approach to patient care,
ensuring the maintenance of confidentiality

Carry out duties as per working policies,
procedures and protocols and to ensure these are kept up to date

To be first point of contact regarding patient referral
related administration.
