Darwin Medical
Practiceprovides services from St Chads Health Centre, Dimbles Lane in
Lichfield, Greenwood Health Centre, Lichfield Road, Burntwood and 29-31 High
Street, Chasetown, Burntwood.

Confidentiality:
In the course of
seeking treatment, patients entrust us with, or allow us to gather, sensitive
information in relation to their health and other matters. They do so in confidence and have the right
to expect that staff will respect their privacy and act appropriately.
In the performance of
the duties outlined in this Job Description, the post-holder may have access to
confidential information relating to patients and their carers, practice staff
and other healthcare workers. They may
also have access to information relating to the practice as a business
organisation. All such information from
any source is to be regarded as strictly confidential.
Information relating to
patients, carers, colleagues, healthcare workers or the business of the
practice may only be divulged to authorised persons in accordance with the
practice policies and procedures relating to confidentiality and the protection
of personal and sensitive data.

Of Purpose
Job
Purpose
The Operations Team Co-ordinator is responsible for providing
day to day support to the Operations Manager assisting in the smooth running of
the Operations Support Teams (Reception and Administration teams).
They will be the point of contact for staff rotas, annual leave allocation and
training matters, and provide supervision of the day to day duties carried out
by the team, ensuring an excellent patient experience is delivered at all times.
Principal
Accountabilities
To assist the Operations Support Manager in
ensuring the operations support teams provide an effective and timely service
to the Practice and patients
To complete weekly staff rotas ensuring all
duties are adequately covered at all times
To allocate staff annual leave in line with the
Practice holiday policy and departmental agreements
To carry out new staff induction training, and
provide training updates to all staff to ensure new working practices are
implemented effectively
To support the Operations Support Manager in
booking staff training and distributing monthly training statistics to the
Practice managers and teams
To complete regular staff one to one meetings
and annual appraisals
Provision of supervision for the operations support teams, fostering a
supportive environment for the team
To ensure all working policies,
procedures, protocols and processes are
adhered to at all times
To carry out day to day administration tasks
The Practice is open from 8.00am until 6.30pm,
with regular extended hours surgeries.
It is expected that all staff will work on a rota basis, according to
the needs of the service.
The contents of this job description and person
specification will be reviewed on an annual basis in line with the Practice
training and development review policy.
