Salaried GP

Job summary

Rushall Medical Centre has a fantastic opportunity for a GP to join it's team. We are looking for 4 - 6 sessions but this is negotiable . We are a forward thinking practice and a progressive organisation with two main objectives, firstly to deliver first class care to our patients and also to become an employer of choice. We acknowledge GP workload pressures and we have employed an additional 3 clinical pharmacists to support the GP role and to reduce some of the burden that we acknowledge GP's are under.

Main duties of the job

You will be working as part of a well-functioning team consisting of GP's, Pharmacists, Paramedics, Practice Nurses, HCA's and a large number of administrative staff. Each day is led by an experienced on-call doctor who are there to support the whole team. You will be seeing patients on a face to face basis in addition to telephone consultations. You will be involved in the Quality Outcome Framework and Primary Care Offer and other initiatives. You will complete referrals to secondary care and other services with the assistance of our experienced medical secretarial team. You will process electronic prescriptions and will manage the abnormal laboratory investigations received in the practice.

About us

Rushall Medical Centre is a long established practice serving the population of Rushall and Pelsall for over 60 years. We have 15,000 + patients and provide undergraduate and postgraduate training. We have 47 members of staff employed by the practice in a variety of different roles working in a modern, purpose-built health centre. There are 5 practice partners and 3 salaried GP's. The partners are committed to supporting all staff employed by the practice. We have an excellent nursing team and an experienced administrative team. In addition we also employ 3 Practice Pharmacists and we also have a number of other allied health professions who we share with the Primary Care Network. We offer all enhanced services including AQP for anticoagulation, minor surgery and contraception. Our CQC rating is "good" and and under the Effective criteria we scored "Outstanding".
