Larwood Health Partnership

Administrator and Appointments Scheduler

The closing date is 06 October 2025

Job summary

Due to internal promotion, we are looking for a conscientious individual with initiative, common sense, resilience, good communication and good knowledge of Microsoft Office, to work alongside our Appointments and Nursing Admin Team.

Main duties of the job

This role is a fantastic opportunity to learn how a GP Practice manages its appointment systems. You will be trained to create appointment types and appointment rota templates and to apply these across clinicians using SystmOne, which is the clinical system used within our Practice. Part of your responsibility will be to block appointments when clinicians have meetings or other responsibilities to undertake, liaising with them where appropriate, as well as ensuring holidays and sickness are recorded appropriately. The role will also involve talking to patients when clinics are cancelled. You will gain an understanding of NHS contract requirements including core hours and extended hours and undertake any other relevant administrative tasks appropriate to the role.

Additionally, you will support the Nursing Admin Team with general administration including preparing inductions, contacting, and booking patients for cervical cytology, coil checks and annual reviews, plus cancelling and amending clinics where required.
