GP Partner (2 years post CCT experience)

We are an established, progressive Practice seeking a committed and experienced GP Partner(at least 2 years plus post CCT experience) to join our existing 7 Partners to help lead and shape the future of our Practice and services. Partnership will be offered after a successful mutual assessment period.

Main duties of the job

Although previous GP Partner experience is desirable, it is not essential. The main criteria is that you have 2 years post CCT experience, are willing to undertake at least 6 clinical sessions and:

  • Have strong communication skills, including professionality and approachability.

About us

We are a training Practice based over 4 sites, 3 of which are owned by the Partners, with a patient list size of approximately 35,000.

We believe in innovation and strive to find more efficient ways of working to optimise patient focused care.

Total triage -SystmConnect

Mainly 15 Minute appointments

6-8 clinical sessions

7 weeks annual leave, 1 weeks study leave

SystmOne Practice

Weekly Combined on-call and late night commitment -12pm until 20:00)

3 Saturdays per year (compensated by TOIL)

A multidisciplinary team made up of:

  • 7 GP Partners and 8 Salaried GPs
  • Management Team including: Practice, Business, HR, Clinical and Appointment Managers
  • Clinical Practitioners undertaking home visits and assisting with patient care
  • Clinical Pharmacists managing medication related queries
  • Extensive Nursing Team, including specialist nurses, Practice Nurses, Nursing Associates, and HCSWs
  • Social Prescribers and Care Coordinators
  • Mental Health Practitioner
  • Fantastic scanning and summarising team undertaking Read Coding
  • Dedicated reception and admin team

Close to Clumber Park, A1 and M1 with easy commute from Sheffield, Doncaster, Chesterfield, and Mansfield. London less than 1.5 hours by train

Job description

Job responsibilities

  • To contribute to the leadership of the Practice and the provision of a full and comprehensive primary care service to the patients of Larwood Health Partnership
  • To be part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver a full range of primary care services to the registered population and those wishing to access our services as temporary residents
  • To provide a high standard of clinical care and monitor outcomes taking into account up to date clinical guidelines
  • To follow procedural guidelines on data entry to enable the practice to record accurate data, in line with the IM & T DES
  • To work closely with the other members of the practice at all times
  • To attend all necessary meetings including Partnership, Practice and Educational meetings as required
  • To be able to work on any of our sites as requested
  • To be available from 12 midday until 8pm on on-call days

  • To work extended hours on a rota basis
  • Responding to medical problems presented by patients, including history taking, examination, investigation, diagnosis, treatment and referral where appropriate.
  • Providing appropriate preventative health care and advice.
  • Providing free certification in line with Schedule 9 of NHS GMS Regulations (1992).
  • Adhering to the practice prescribing formulary.
  • Preparing medical reports for insurance companies, employers and statutory bodies where a patient has been receiving care predominantly from you.
  • Participating in clinical governance activity and contributing to the improvement in quality of health outcomes through the practices audit programme.
