Job summary

The Mounts Medical Centre is looking for a newly qualified/experienced, enthusiastic motivated GP to join our dedicated team.

Main duties of the job

See patients with ongoing and acute health conditions

Adhere to the strictest confidentiality when handling medical records and other information, pertaining to patients.

Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.

Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice including the provision of reception, and clerical support to clinical staff and other members of the practice team.

We are friendly and supportive practice based in the town centre of Northampton with a diverse patient population of over 165000 patients. We provide a high standard of patient-centred care and the successful candidate will become a valued member of our practice team. We are seeking a 4-8 session GP to join our thriving team.

Job description

Job responsibilities

We are a GMS practice comprising of a clinical team of 6 GP Partners, 2 ANP, 2 Practice Nurses 1 HCA and a full PCN staff. We are high achieving with QOF and use Ardens templates & reporting. The practice also has the use of AccuRx and uses TPP SystmOne as it clinical system. Our partners provide Minor Surgery and Family Planning clinics.

This salaried role comes with the potential for partnership in the future and boasts a competitive pay structure starting at 100,000, with flexible working options.

Job description

Provide high quality patient care

Carry out surgery, telephone and video consultations and undertake home visits

Liaise with other team members and organisations involved in patient care and respond promptly to queries

Investigate and refer patients as appropriate in line with current guidance

Deal promptly with results and correspondence

Provide cover as required when other GPs are on leave

collect data for audit and QoF purposes

Excellent communication with patients and carers

Attend clinical, clinical governance and educational meetings

Strong team player

Strong collaborative working relationships with partners and all team members

Effectively manage own time, workload and resources

Attend required training events e.g. PLT and feedback

Reporting of Significant Incidents involving the practice

Qualifications

Essential
  • A vocational trained and accredited GP, preferably MRCGP Current registration with the GMC Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Ability to work with limited supervision. IT proficiency and familiarity with primary care clinical systems (the practice use TPP SystmOne). Excellent time keeping Exceptional team player Good understanding of GMS contracting requirements and QoF

Experience:

  • Health Care Centre: 1 year preferred
