Job summary
We are looking to recruit an part-time Healthcare Assistant to join our nursing team. Working 20-24 hours per week at Central Surgery in Barton-upon-Humber and our branch surgery in Goxhill.
Our team consists of 5 partners, 4 salaried GP's, ANP's, ACP's,
Practice Nurses, HCA's and Pharmacists, along with supportive reception and
admin teams.
The Surgery is committed to the ongoing development of all our
staff and are proud to be a training practice to GP registrars and medical
students, working with Hull and York Medical School.
Main duties of the job
Working under the direct supervision of our lead nurse you will support the clinical team and provide direct patient care.
Within your own clinic you will provide services including but not limited to;
- phlebotomy
- blood pressure monitoring
- recording of patient observations
- ECG's
- Diabetic Foot Checks

- Processing and management of laboratory samples requested by GPs / nurses
- Sterilising, cleaning and maintenance of surgical equipment
- Vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring and recording
- Preparing and maintaining environments and equipment before, during and
after patient care interventions
