Job summary

Concord Medical Centre has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic paramedic to join our practice. This role is offered on a part-time or full-time basis, from 22.5 to 37.5 hours per week.

Main duties of the job

  • Run minor illness clinics, for a range of acute and chronic conditions
  • Conduct home visits
  • Provide assessment, diagnosis and treatment at first point of contact
  • Accurately triage and prioritise patients

Job responsibilities

  • Assess and triage patients, including same day triage, and provide treatment
  • Run minor illness clinics, for a range of acute and chronic conditions
  • Act as a lead for minor illness management, working closely with our Nurse Partner
  • Undertake home visits where relevant
  • Assist with the management of disease registers
  • Undertake the collection of pathological specimens
  • Maintain accurate and contemporaneous health records
  • Take an active part in QOF management
  • Prescribe, issue, and review medications as appropriate
  • Collaborate with doctors, nurses and other AHPs, accepting referrals and referring to them for specialist care
