We are seeking an Advanced Nurse Practitioner with independent prescribing capabilities to deliver exceptional patient care and help shape the future of our practice.

Main duties of the job

This role is ideal for a confident, compassionate clinician looking to make a real impact in a diverse and supportive practice. In this patient-facing role, you'll be expected to:

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with urgent health queries
  • Provide autonomous, high-quality patient care with advanced clinical skills and extensive theoretical knowledge
  • Promote health education and maintain accurate patient records
  • Order diagnostic tests, and prescribe medication independently as required, within legal and policy guidelines
  • Provide consultations via face-to-face appointments, telephone, or video consultations in a timely and effective manner
  • Conduct occasional home visits to support patients unable to attend the surgery
  • Work closely with our designated care home, including ward rounds
  • Adhere to practice policies and fostering effective relationships with our multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, patient-centred care

  • Registration with the NMC
  • Meets the standards for registered ANP working at advanced level
  • Minor illness qualification
  • Qualified Independent Nurse Prescriber on the NMC register

Desirable

  • MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice or ePortfolio equivalent
  • Experience in line management
  • Experience of QOF

Experience
