Job summary
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to administer medications accurately. Experience in a GMS setting is highly desirable.
This is a fixed term position, covering maternity leave, commencing February 2026. There may be the opportunity for a permanent role for the right candidate.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Pharmacy or equivalent qualification.
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- A strong background in patient care is essential.
- Proficient in medication administration techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient interaction.

Main duties of the job
Responsibilities
- Provide patient counselling on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions.

- Conduct medication reviews and monitor patient outcomes to ensure efficacy and safety.
- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and patient information in compliance with regulations.
- Educate patients and healthcare staff on new medications and treatment protocols.
- Participate in quality assurance activities to improve pharmacy services.
- Stay updated on advancements in pharmacotherapy and relevant clinical guidelines.
- Oversee pharmacy students.
