Job summary

We are looking to recruit a newly qualified GP for 4 sessions per week (2 days) to work at our surgery. To be eligible for this position the following must apply

  • Qualified GP - within 2 years of registration MRCGP
  • Full GMC registration
  • Performers List registration
  • Clear Enhanced DBS check
  • Less than 2 years from date of receiving certificate of completion training (CCT)
  • No previous substantive posts as a GP prior to here
  • Registered with License to practise with General Medical Council

Main duties of the job

A typical day for you will include seeing patients face to face and some telephone consultations. Admin time is also allocated for reviewing blood tests and other investigations aswell as reviewing and signing prescriptions

Job responsibilities

Main responsibilities are patient consultations at home, within the surgery by phone etc. Monitoring patient's conditions and wellbeing. Discussing treatment options and creating plans with patients and families. Carrying out clinical examinations. Diagnosing and treating illnesses/ailments. Carrying out diagnostic tests. Prescribing medication. Liaising with other healthcare professionals internally in the PCN and externally as part of our multidisciplinary team. Quality improvement and home visits as part of the GP team.
