About the Role
Thornhills
Medical Practice is seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Administrator
to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong
clinical knowledge and previous experience in clinical administration to
contribute to the smooth running of a busy GP practice.
Main duties of the job
Main Duties of the Job
Duties will
include, but are not limited to:
Accurately
readcoding
clinical information into patient records
Extracting
and entering clinical data from correspondence
Monitoring
and maintaining QOF targets and recall systems
Running
clinical searches and supporting audit processes
Summarising
incoming patient notes
Ensuring
all clinical data is processed efficiently, accurately and in line with
practice protocols
What We Are Looking For
Previous
experience in clinical administration (essential)
Strong
knowledge of medical terminology and clinical processes
Excellent
organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability
to work independently and as part of a team
Good
IT skills and experience using clinical systems (EMIS experience desirable)

Monitor Quality Outcomes Frames (QoF) /
clinical audits and assist in achieving QoF targets
Assist with searches, recalls and audits
for chronic disease management, sending recalls letters
Ensure cervical smear recalls are in place
Administration of the Pathology Links/Mail
Manager/Enhance services/Projects
Annual immunisation recall
programmes/campaigns
Summarise patient notes
accurately/efficiently/Administer the electronic GP2GP system
Review, extract data from clinical
correspondence and inputting the data and Read Codes into the patients medical
record
Enter test / screening results / clinical
information onto the computer system
Transcribe handwritten clinical notes into
the computer system
Ensure that all relevant Safeguarding
Adults/Child Protection information is entered into the computer system
