We're one of three areas in England to receive £19m in
Government funding to help people get the support before poor health forces
them out of work. You might hear this described as a 'Health and Growth
Accelerator site'.
This pilot programme brings together the NHS, councils, job
support services, voluntary organisations, and employers to offer joined-up
support for those who need it most.
In the first year, we aim to support around 2,000 people,
including:
- Adults struggling to stay in work due to mental health,
musculoskeletal (MSK) or long-term conditions
- People who are under financial pressure or missing out on
the benefits
- NHS and care staff needing extra support
- Small to medium size employers looking to support staff and
reduce absences.
The role of WorkWell Project
Lead will oversee the on-going development and delivery of WorkWell across
Northumberland and North Tyneside in collaboration with General Practices,
Local Authority and VSCE partners.
Main duties of the job
- Project Management: The project lead oversees the on-going delivery of Work Well across Northumberland and North Tyneside in collaboration with Integrated Care Board (ICB) Local Authority, VCSE and NHS Trust Partners. This includes planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting on project progress.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with various stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, management, and external partners, to ensure that project goals align with NHSE objectives.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identifying potential risks and issues that may impact the project is crucial. The project lead develops strategies to mitigate these risks and ensures that the project remains on track.
- Communication and Reporting: Regular communication with stakeholders is essential. The project lead presents reports and findings, ensuring that all parties are informed about project developments and outcomes.

Together with our GP members, we deliver improved health care in the community to over 215,000 residents, by bringing care closer to patients homes.
