This is an exciting opportunity for dynamic, motivated and experienced individual to advance in our cardiac theatres & recovery. We have vacancies due one of our existing Band 6 staff gaining promotion.

You will be working in a busy and high profile team specialising in all aspects of adult cardiac surgery and linking in with the EMCHC activity. We are looking for a professional, dynamic, experienced and motivated scrub practitioner with the appropriate skills and experience to develop in this specific role.

This is an exciting time for Glenfield Hospital as it is expanding its services. It is already the regional Cardiac Centre and the nationally recognised Adult ECMO facility. Cardiac surgery is also performed in our Hybrid theatre which was built in 2017.

You will provide direction and inspirational leadership to the multi-disciplinary team, have exceptional clinical and communication skill, whilst working flexibly and undertaking to on calls.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate that they have high level self-management skills including time management and the ability to prioritise and organise the team. They will be expected to participate in effective clinical leadership and management of the team in theatres, and on call shifts.

Candidates will have a proven track record of working in specialist areas with proven skills in cardiac theatre. You must be committed to delivering a high quality service ensuring patient care, safety and experience is paramount. Training and support will be available as well as a wide range of specialist development opportunities,.
