Employer:
NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT)
Department:
ICT Solutions Architect
Location:
This role can be based at Filton, Birmingham or London, to be agreed with the successful applicant
Salary:
£87,000

The salary for this role is around £87,000 however negotiation around this may be considered for an exceptional candidate.

At NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) we know that first class IT services play a critical role in donation and transplantation across the UK. It’s a fundamental part of our goal to be the best donation service in the world for blood, organs, tissues and stem cells. And that’s why we need a visionary leader to frame the digital, data and technology solutions that will make it happen.

This is an opportunity to play an important role in a large-scale programme of change that will radically improve how NHSBT works and interacts with its users.

This role is the Chief Digital Information Officer’s (CDIO) leading specialist adviser on all digital, data and technology solutions across the business.

You will be accountable for ensuring that our technical solutions are fully integrated to minimise and rationalise the individual systems and their associated costs. You will be responsible for the creation of a market leading enterprise architecture, which promotes the use of systems, data, and infrastructure. You will report directly to the CDIO, and as such share responsibility to develop the vision and objectives of the organisation as a whole.

We are looking for candidates who can apply their ‘on the ground’ experience of driving the transformation of organisations, not those who will maintain the status quo. You will be guided by some fundamental principles; putting the needs of users first, focusing on delivery and outcomes over process. Excellent judgement, networking and influencing skills underpin all your work, along with a genuine commitment to diversity in the workforce.

You will be educated to degree level or equivalent and be able to demonstrate your continuing professional development.
