Taking ownership of a number of IT services within NHS Blood and Transplant, you will be responsible to provide effective service and product management in this business facing IT role. What’s more, you’ll enjoy scope to inform the design of new services and lead on service transition into live operation.

 

Excellent relationship building and leadership skills are as important as your technical knowledge and talent. As line manager to a group of Service Implementation Managers, you will motivate and develop your team to drive the provision of IT services and deliver business value through effective release planning and deployment. We will also rely on you to work closely with business stakeholders and suppliers to create and maintain a strategic direction for your services as well as implementing agreed and effective Operating and Service Level Agreements. When the time to make changes comes, you’ll provide guidance to users requesting system changes and enhancements and liaise with our Project Management, Business Analysis/Architecture and IT Operations teams to ensure changes are effectively understood and managed.

 

To be equal to the challenge, you will need a proven, relevant professional track record in IT Service and Product Management alongside a desire to make a difference for a Special Health Authority that is dedicated to saving and improving lives.
