Senior Clinical Fellow in Urogynaecology

This post offers an excellent opportunity for a senior trainee to develop expertise in managing urogynaecological conditions in a tertiary referral unit.

The successful applicant will:

  • gain specialist training in urogynaecology by working in a multidisciplinary team
  • be able to complete the urogynaecology ATSM depending on the attainment of competencies
  • have opportunities for research in Urogynaecology
  • gain Urogynaecology training for a special interest consultant post

The appointee will work as part of a multidisciplinary urogynaecology team and will receive direct supervision and training from consultant urogynaecologists. The post includes protected time in urogynaecology totalling 2.5 days per week. The post will provide the skills required for a future consultant position with a special interest in urogynaecology or as preparation for sub specialty training.

The appointee will have regular duties in general Obstetrics & Gynaecology and participate in the senior registrar on-call rota. Daytime duties will be based at both the Leicester General Hospital and Leicester Royal Infirmary, but on-call commitments will be based on one specific site.
