Macmillan Breast Care Nurse Advanced Nurse Practitioner Band 6/7 dependent on Experience.

 

An exciting opportunity for an experienced registered nurse has arisen within The Macmillan Breast Care Advanced Nurse Practitioner Team. Our department is one of the largest Breast units in the country.

 

We are looking to recruit a Band 6/7 Nurse who with specialized support and training will join the team of four other ANP’s. The team works with nine Breast Care Nurse Specialists and eight Breast surgical Consultants.

 

The role is to clinically assess patients in symptomatic, screening and follow-up clinics. Autonomous practice is required following extensive training, other nurse-led clinics and theatre assisting will also be involved once competent.

 

The post is for 37.5 hours per week.

 

A forward thinking and motivated individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills is essential for the role. Ability and desire to study formally and in-house is required.

Breast Cancer Care and oncology experience, with a post graduate specialist degree or willing to work towards one is desirable, but not essential. In- house training will be given to the right candidate as required.
